Welcome to Blue SKYS Media. We are an award winning creative design social enterprise of St Kilda Youth Service (SKYS).

What does that mean? Well we simply operate as a design business where our point of difference is addressing the social issue of youth education and employment. Our goal is to help 'at risk', 'marginalised', 'disadvantaged' youth - however you want to label it - with an opportunity for training and pathway support in an area they have identified as their passion.

Our mission is to provide you, our client, with great print and web design solutions. And what's more we reinvest 100% of our profit back into our social goal. Yes, every single cent. It’s all about design for good.

WHAT WE DO

Blue SKYS Media works with you to create print and web design solutions that communicate clearly and effectively with your audience. We listen to your needs and advise solutions that fit your budget. Our clients span small business, government, and the community sector.

In addition, our ongoing social goal is to support young people who've dropped out of mainstream education with alternative, practical training and employment pathways via VET and VCAL. We do this through our SKYS Education program and our traineeships.

100% of our income, minus liabilities, is reinvested into our SKYS programs.

PRINT

We love to create simple and fresh design. We want to ensure you are communicating effectively through creative but purposeful design. Our range of professional services include all facets of graphic design – identity design, business cards, brochures, flyers, posters, catalogues, publications, reports, fact sheets, signage.

We can help broker your printing requirements and recommend ethical printing by using materials from sustainable forests.

 

WEB

We create solutions that leave a great first impression and work well in promoting your idea. Our web design services delivers customised web sites, web hosting, maintenance, e-commerce, e-newsletters, (SEO) search engine optimisation, and web site content input training. We pride ourselves in ensuring you get a user-friendly content management systems which means you can update your own content.

Our social goal is to provide youth with real employment in a supportive creative studio environment. We aim to be the bridge between their training and employment. In other words, helping young people gain work and life skills that set them on the road to employment.

Our young people get the chance to work one-on-one with our experienced designers and develop all those 'soft' and 'hard' skills whilst collaborating with professionals on real jobs.

We strive for young people to achieve their full potential and develop their creative, communication and job-ready skills. It's all about providing a supportive 'stepping stone' along the path towards a professional career.
